Bhubaneswar-based software solutions company, Enterprise System Solution Pvt Limited (ESSPL) lifted the glittering team trophy on the second and concluding day of the 12th Corporate Golf Tournament, which was organised by Bhubaneswar Golf Club at the BGC Course, Infocity here today.
The ESSPL team, comprising Devesh Sinha, Shailendra Upadhyay and Somprabh Jha topped the leader board with a total score of 133. Shipping company team, Ace Commercial Pvt Ltd, consisting of A C Sutar, Dibyalok Pattnaik, Rajnish Dash and Dharmendra Mishra finished runners-up with 132 points.
In the individual competition, local favourite Dalbir Singh emerged champion in 0-18 handicap group, while Prashant K Jena settled as runner-up. In the 18-hole Stableford competition, Dalbir, a 12-handicapper, finished at the top of the table with 34 points, the same as Jena.
Satyajyoti Mohanti won the Best Gross trophy with a score of 22. Rajeev Sahoo won the top honour in 19-24 handicap group with a score of 29. The runner-up prize in this group was captured by ace woman golfer Lakhi Swain, who finished with 28 points.
Tata Steel vice-president Arun Misra, Frontline Group chairman Dr Sanjay Sinha, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited director Khirod Kumar Parida, NTPC director Kulamani Biswal and Adani Port director Santosh Mohapatra gave away the prizes at the closing function. BGC president Tara Patnaik, secretary Dulal Pany and golf captain P K (Bhumi) Mohanty were present on the occasion.
